STRESS COUSELLING
What is stress?
Dr. Michael Dadson (Mike Dadson) relates stress to weight and the impact it has on you. Dr. Mike Dadson explains, “although we can carry 10 pounds, if we have to carry it all day, we’re tired by the time the day is over. Further, if that weight continues to increase every day or if you get hit with 30, 60, or 90 pounds all at once, eventually you can be crushed by the weight.” Most of us encounter stress at various times of the day or at some point in our weekly routines. Mentally healthy people generally strive to feel purposeful, connected with others, and confident in themselves. However, sometimes we encounter obstacles in life that leave us feeling overly tense, stuck or isolated. Dr. Mike Dadson wants you to know, “If you are feeling like this, you are not alone.” On our own, these experiences can feel very confusing, even though emotions give us important information about what we need and want, and how to get there.
